343 Industries showed off some of the kinect functionality that will be present in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Editon at their NYCC 2011 panel.  The team revealed that you’ll be able to say “grenade” to have the MC chuck an explosive device, as well as the ability to say “reload” to well, uh, reload.  Furthermore, the kinect functionality that got the biggest reaction at the panel was that you’d be able to scan in items from the game environment into some sort of 3D codex where you can interact with the objects and read more about them.  Think scanning an Elite then being able to get the low down on him in an interactive codex.  You can see what I’m referring to below.  It’s definitely a bonus for kinect owners, and the integration of the device into the original Halo doesn’t seem offensive at all.  You’ve been digging the fact that you won’t have to get your fat a*s off the couch to use kinect in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Editon…
