5 Floppy Drives Make Beautiful Daft Punk TRON Music

Some of you younger geeks probably don’t even know what a floppy drive is, because they’ve been out of commission for many years now.  They were loud, slow, and their storage capacity was minimal.  Lately these archaic computing devices have found a new purpose in life for those who have the skill to utilize them as music machines.  That’s right, with some software and programming skills you can turn floppy drives into technotronic music making machines that could rival any DJ’s sounds.  I’d say their tune is probably more desirable to the tech crowd, but what these Floppy DJ’s can coax out of these machines is amazing.

MrSolidSnake745 has created one of the best Floppy disk song mixes I’ve ever heard, and what makes it even more perfect is that it’s playing Daft Punk’s “Derezzed” from Tron: Legacy.  The resemblance to the actual song is uncanny, and I can’t even begin to think what it took to nail this thing down.  Check it out below and behold the wonders of Floppy drive DJ’ing.  You’ve been digging this mechanical sound style…
