A Breaking Bad movie is in development. Life is good. The end.

According to the Albuquerque Journal, Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad, is working on a two hour long film set in its universe. At this time it’s not clear if this will be a TV movie, or for theaters, but considering AMC has moved forward with three Rick Grimes starring The Walking Dead TV movies, I would assume this project will follow suit.

Apparently production is scheduled to start later this month in New Mexico under the title Greenbrier, and is said to “follow the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom.” If you’re a fan of the series, then that sounds like it’ll focus on Jesse after he escapes his Neo-Nazi captors during the series finale of Breaking Bad. If this is the case though that would eliminate Walter White being in it, and one would think that a Breaking Bad film would have to have Walter and Jesse in it at minimum to be considered a Breaking Bad movie.

No matter how it plays out, I know Vince won’t fuck it up, so I’ll be keeping my eyes on this projects development. Stay tuned you Heisenbergers!
