I’m sitting here ready to cry that I have yet to play the Gears of War 3 beta, which officially opened early this morning for Bulletstormers, and became publicly available on 4/15 via some free codes being handed out by Epic and Microsoft employees through Twitter.  I was one of the a-holes patiently watching my Twitter feed in hopes of scoring early access by inputting a free code faster than the other Gears fanboys, but alas, I was always too slow, so I just resigned myself to the fact that I wouldn’t get to play the beta until 4/18 with the rest of the Epic Edition Bulletstorm owners.

It’s now 1:40 PM EST on 4/18, and I still haven’t played the beta because I’m taking care of my real life responsibilities.  Sometimes it sucks to be a productive human being rather than a jobless turd with nowhere to be each day, but such is the life of a dedicated person.  For those of you that are lucky enough to not have to work today I’m completely envious of you, because I know at this very moment you’re getting to blow the guts out of people in the Gears 3 beta.

For those of you that are in my gaming inner circle, and are currently playing the beta while taunting me through text messages, Xbox Live messages, and other forms of communication I can only hope that your console catches on fire from your acts of blasphemy!  Ok, maybe just a power outage, but I still hate you!

From what I’ve been hearing though, this Gears 3 beta is everything that we as Gears fans have been waiting for.  Supposedly there’s a nice balance of what worked in Gears 1 and 2 implemented into Gears 3.  I haven’t seen any harsh complaints, and no one from my camp has reported bollocks on the new changes made to how Gears MP plays in this new beta.  It’s safe to say that I’m chomping at the bit to get some hands-on time with this thing especially knowing that other gamers are tinkering with it as I type.  Life is tough, but hopefully within the next few hours I’ll be blasting fools to oblivion in the Gears of War 3 beta.  Till then, I hate you if you’re playing it.  You’ve got a better schedule than me…
