In news that will surprise probably nobody, Activision has successfully taken over the video game market in not one, but three categories.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was the #1 selling game globally in 2014, making it the most successful franchise 6 years straight. Skylanders Trap Team outsold its nearest competitor by 17% this year, and is currently 30% bigger than its nearest competitor, making it the #1 selling kid’s game. Finally, Destiny was the #2 selling game in the U.S. based on revenue, and was the biggest new game franchise release in history.

Though Destiny was not as popular with a lot of gamers as everyone thought it would be, that didn’t stop it from selling an enormous amount of copies, and despite Call of Duty Ghosts disappointing many gamers last year, everyone bought this year’s COD. Time will tell if 2015 will hold a different result for #1 selling game, with Halo 5: GuardiansEvolve, and other awesome titles, the new COD may have some competition.
