Agent Locke Is Not Halo 5’s Main Protagonist
According to a report from IGN, Mike Colt who stars as Agent Locke in the upcoming Halo: Nightfall TV series claimed he was set to be Halo 5‘s new star player. With information on Halo 5 pretty much all on low key, any rumors on the highly regarded franchise are sure to be noted down. Colt originally stated the following:
“Yeah, I’m a playable character in Halo 5,” he said. “Once Halo: The Master Chief Collection is released, and then Halo 5 comes out shortly thereafter, you’re basically going to be playing a game with me as the primary character. I’ll have some cool weaponry, and some cool abilities, because by that time I’ll be a Spartan IV.”
But it would appear his words may have been taken more than a little out of context. Since the quote from the star, 343 has hit back with the below comment:
“‘A’ primary character, Chief is the main character and hero,”
So there you have it folks, the powerful and mysterious chief is going nowhere. To further add to the commitment 343 Industries has to the masked killing machine, it also put down rumors stating it was planning to kill Chief off in order to make way for a new hero.
Halo 5 may be some time off, but for those of you not caught up, the perfect opportunity will be arising soon with the November 14th release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. With the collection gamers everywhere will be able to experience Master Chief’s legend in shiny HD graphics. Be sure to stick to Entertainment Buddha for the latest on all things Halo.
