Albino Dragon, Bringing Games Back To The Table!

We live in a day and age where technology reigns king. People play video games on their cellphones, Ipads, laptops, desktops and home gaming systems like XBox and Playstation. The latter of which have graphics today that look extremely realistic! In a technology driven gaming world, a company by the name of Albino Dragon strives to bring great games to the table.

Founded in 2012 by a creative cat named Erik Dahlman from Texas who had a simple goal in mind to create great gaming for the table, as he states, by “Combining high quality art, design, and components to make games that look and feel as good as they play.” Many of their projects have been via Kickstarter which has allowed fellow gamers to play a role in the process to a certain extent.

As a fan of the 1980s it was a no brainer for me to back some of their previous projects such as The Goonies Bicycle playing cards and 30th Anniversary Ghostbusters playing cards. All of their products are officially licensed, of the highest quality and artistically beautiful. Their Kickstarter Goonies project came with awesome box art of One-Eyed Willy’s pirate ship, The Inferno, on the front. As well as a heavy coin too (to be used as a card guard) with the Inferno sailing the open seas.

Now Albino Dragon is back with more Goonies goodness in a table Adventure Card Game. At this point they have fully funded the project, which had an initial pledge goal of $10,000. Currently, the project is at $35,000. Good news is there are still rewards available for those who would like to back the project, ensuring you get a copy of the card game, but I’d hurry if I were you.

Rather than bore you trying to explain the game there is a cool video below that can give you a much better idea of how it feels to play The Goonies: Adventure Card Game. While it’s great to enjoy the advances technology has to offer us, it’s also nice to kick back old-school with family or friends playing a card game at the table.
