It’s a juicy bit of movie news that rockets through the internet like a spectral locomotive. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the long rumored all-female Ghostbusters reboot has a finalized main cast. The chosen four being Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon, and Melissa McCarthy.
Most of the details are still shrouded in mystery, like a gentle book reading ghost librarian. Paul Feig is signed on to direct, who has worked with Wiig and McCarthy before on Bridesmaids. Jones was added to the cast of SNL last year and has already been promoted to feature player, as well as appearing in Chris Rock’s Top Five. McKinnon is also a featured player on SNL and was nominated for an Emmy.

The cast is definitely a strong one as this reboot from Sony is looking to begin filming this summer, according to the release from The Hollywood Reporter. The wheels are finally turning for this movie, which had been stuck in development for quite some time, and now that the cast has been confirmed, things should start to come together.
