Aquaman’s Adventure Continues In Latest Funko Pop Animated Short

Original Funko has released the second part of a planned four part animated series of shorts for its Aquaman line of Funko Pops, which are based after the upcoming live action film starring Jason Mamoa as Arthur Curry. The new short is called Underwater Ambush, and it follows Aquaman and Meera as they search for a lost underwater relic. Unfortunately, they’re not the only ones seeking the treasure, because Black Manta also shows up and spoils their plans. In fact, his arrival leads to a big cliffhanger, so head on up above to check out the short.

While my love of collecting Pops is waning, I do still love these animated shorts. Like LEGO animations, there’s just something so damn charming about seeing CGI Funko Pops brought to life. I’m honestly surprised there hasn’t been news of a Funko animated film yet, because these little shorts could definitely work as full on films or more traditional 22-minute long TV episodes.

Oh well, for now this is what we get. If you missed the first part of this Funko Pop Aquaman series, then you can check it out below.
