Artist Memorializes H.R. Giger With a Sad Xenomorph Piece

Artist Jake Trunk, creator of The Grype, has whipped up a timely Alien art piece to commemorate the late H.R. Giger, who sadly passed away on Monday.

Giger was 74 when he died, and the Swiss painter is most well known for his design work on Ridley Scott’s Alien film, which won an Oscar for its visual effects. Mr. Giger created the iconic look of the Xenomorph aliens that have terrorized movie goers for over 30 years, and his work has gone on to influence many other film projects and traditional art pieces. The world truly lost an art genius this week, so please enjoy Jake’s tribute piece after the break.

RIP H.R. Giger…
