Artist Transforms Post-it Notes into Marvel, DC, and Other Pop Culture Icons

Sean Forney is a working artist who travels the U.S. to show off his skills at the various comic book conventions and geek gatherings for those who love Marvel, DC, and other franchises rooted in geek pop culture.

He’s written his own comic, which he graciously included Entertainment Buddha in, and he’s always busy drawing awesome commissioned artwork (I have a Hulk print hanging in EB HQ), or working on other radical drawing projects. One of his recent ventures is in the land of Post-it notes, which he can transform into fantastic art pieces thanks to his skills. These gems feature Marvel, DC, and pop culture movie icons expertly rendered on the colored paper from the brand we’ve all associated with reminders, to-do lists, and other types of business oriented functions. Rather than using Post-it notes for idea sharing, Sean has used them as canvases to showcase his talents. When you see what he can produce it’s mind boggling to think that he crams all of the detailed required to pull off a sketch on the diminutive 3″x3″ pieces of paper.

He produces at least one new Post-it sketch daily, which you can follow via his official Facebook page. I’ve pulled a few of my favorites and listed them after the break. Let us know which one is your favorite by leaving a comment down below. Make sure to Like Sean’s Fb page if you enjoy his Post-it notes creations. You can also find him at a comic book convention near you, so check out his upcoming appearance list and plan a trip to check out his artwork in person!
