Awesome! Droid Incredible is Getting More Verizon Bloatware…

Verizon has announced that an OTA update will begin rolling out next week for the Droid Incredible that will contain some “software enhancements”.  Unfortunately, the only enhancement I can find details on is the forced inclusion of the VCAST app store.  Sweet, more bloatware from Verizon on my phone that does nothing but eat up space, RAM, and battery life.  Why does Verizon need to shove their apps down our throats every time one of their devices receives an update?  Especially an app that is already on your phone.  Do we really need 2 app stores?  I guess the one positive with the VCAST app store is that you can bill purchases to your Verizon account, but who pays for apps?  Oh that’s right, Apple users pay for apps!  Below you can see the official statement from Verizon.  The update should begin next week, and if I see anymore details on the other enhancements I’ll let you know.  You’ve been needing to put your Verizon phone on a diet to relieve the bloating…

“Verizon Wireless will begin pushing a software update to the DROID Incredible next week. The update includes software enhancements that will pre-install V CAST Apps on the phone. We said earlier this year that we’d be expanding V CAST Apps to the Android platform, and the DROID Incredible is the first Android phone with the store. Developers continue to submit apps, and as a reminder, V CAST Apps allows carrier billing, so customers who purchase applications through our store will see those charges on their monthly bill. For more information about the update customers can go to”
