Awesome – Finland Makes Broadband an Unalienable Right

Finland has become the first country in the world to make access to broadband a legal right.  It is now required by Finnish ISP’s to provide a 1Mbps connection to everyone in the country!  How forward thinking is that?  Finland could now be one of the coolest nations in the world.  It just amazes me that they’ve accomplished this, and I applaud them for it.

They also plan on following through on a promise to have the whole country on 100MBps lines by 2015.  Now this is a country that understands the future and how integral the Internet is to its citizens.  What are the chances of this happening over here?  I’d say about the same chances of me bl*wing a dude!  We’re America people, nothing is free over here.  You’ve been thinking of moving to Finland…
