DC is using some cross platform marketing to get Batman: Arkham City fans to buy the upcoming Green Lantern on Blu-ray, so they can score the exclusive Sinestro skin for the Dark Knight.  I find it kind of odd that Batman would be wearing another DC character’s clothes, but these days marketing teams will do anything to syphon more cash out of their fan bases.  Luckily for me I was planning on buying the Blu-ray version of the less than perfect Green Lantern live action movie anyway, so this Arkham City offer is icing on the cake for me.

On top of the Batman: Arkham City Sinestro skin bonus, gamers can also get the Joker’s Challenge Map if they pre-order the game from Gamestop.  If you want to see what this pre-order bonus is all about check out the trailer for it below.  The Joker Carnival Challenge Map isn’t directly tied to the campaign, but rather it looks like a separate venue to more or less beat the tar out of AI bad guys.  This bonus item seems to make more sense than the Sinestro skin, but hey, what’s another $30 for a game of this caliber.  I spent over $200 on Gears 3, so right now Arkham City is looking like a steal.  You’ve been scratching your dome over this marketing plan…
