Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure mashed the creative gameplay of 5th Cell’s wordsmith game with the extensive catalog of DC Comics heroes and villains. The game itself is solid, which you can read about in our review, but one of its greatest assets is its art style. Transforming DC’s well known characters into little cherub like versions of themselves will speak to anyone who appreciates the super deformed aesthetic first made famous in Japan.

To showcase the brilliant design of Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure the team behind it created a few homage covers to some of DC’s most famous comic book arcs. One in particular features the cover art from Frank Miller’s Batman: The Dark Knight Falls, in which the shadowy versions of Batman and Superman are seen doing battle between each other. The original cover is slightly terrifying, while the Scribblenauts version is straight up adorable. Yes, I said adorable. Check it out for yourself down below. I think we need a toy line based on these no?
