Bay Shows off Transformers 7 Disc Set and Ultimate Edition of DotM
Posted on January 12th, 2012 by Entertainment Buddha | Filed under Celebs, Collecting, Movies, Previews | Comments (3)Michael Bay has posted a new video on his site that details the upcoming Ultimate Edition of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and the Limited Edition 7 disc box set that contains all three Transformers movies plus tons of other sh*t. Say what you will about Bay and the movies themselves, but I have to give them credit for the 7 disc Limited Edition set, which is packed with goodies. The coolest part about it is the case that it will be housed in. This thing looks like it came from Cybertron, and even includes diamond plating on its base. The Limited Edition is just that as well. Only 5,000 will be released, and Bay is claiming that he is personally signing everyone, so they could be a collectible one day.
The most important thing about this video isn’t the chance to see the Ultimate and Limited editions of the upcoming Transformer releases, but rather the true awesomeness lies with the statue of Optimus Prime that he has on his desk. I would punch through a line of poor kids to get my hands on that thing! It is a thing of beauty that would look magnificent in Buddha’s R Us. I think I’d even consider taking it around the town with me as if it were my robotic kid to show off to all of the other jealous geeks out there.
Oh well, one can dream. I’m sure that thing probably costs more than my car, so I’ll refrain from trying to secure one. Check out the video below to see what I mean, and don’t forget to check out the gnarly Limited Edition box set as well. You’ve been needing your own Optimus Prime statue…

I know quality stuff. I’m def getting the ultimate of T3, but can’t justify the limited super duper edition.

I am a tightwad and never buy that stuff, but have been waiting for a box set and why not the limited edition. At the price of $111 to the door, I thought that was a bargain, especially for something limited to 5000 copies with autograph included.
Your faithful readers can go to amazon here to make the purchase. Now the big question, do I open the package, or leave it sealed as a collectors item????
