Michael Bay’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot wasn’t as bad as many have made it out to be, but it wasn’t great either, leaving the 1990 TMNT movie as the de facto turtles experience on the silver screen.

The CineFix YouTube channel has taken Bay’s version of the film and restyled it as an 8-bit video game complete with chip tunes music and classic retro gameplay action, making it even better than the real thing. These little 8-bit Cinema projects are just too awesome for words, so if you want to amp up the nostalgia meter make sure to check out TMNT as an 8-bit video game above.
