Star Wars UK unveiled the theatrical version of the Solo: A Star Wars Story poster, and like the other Star Wars films before it, it follows the theme of making one character super large, while placing the other main and side characters around them.
In the case of the Solo poster the man himself gets the prime spot, and he’s flanked by his fellow smugglers. Of course two of the villains also made the poster, as well as the film’s robot companion L3-37. There’s also a shot of the Falcon being chased by TIE Fighters, so it perfectly embodies the Star Wars movie theater poster spirit.
I also just appreciate the color tones, which are a bit more colorful than most of the other Star Wars movie posters featuring this design. It’s definitely splashier than the red and white motif featured in The Last Jedi’s poster, and it’s a bit more vibrant than the mostly blue tones used in the Rogue One poster, which is the only other stand alone Star Wars movie in existence at this point.
