Beyond Blue is probably going to be the next best thing after scuba diving if you want to explore the ocean floor.

At least, if you’re a little weenie like me and are completely and totally terrified of being in a body of water larger than a bath tub. The game looks absolutely beautiful, even compared to Abzu, which is easily the holy grail of diving games, since it seems to be a genre at this point. Even just the spots where the camera isn’t moving and you can watch the ocean currents move plants around are very pretty.

I don’t know how you can possibly manage to animate that many different things, and make so many different assets for a game. It blows my mind how much work goes into making a video game look this amazing, and I’m very excited to finally play it. Check out the video above and let us know what you think!

“Making you a better geek, one post at a time!”
