Blackpowder Games, created by ex-Monolith Developers out of Seattle, have announced their first game today – an atmospheric first person adventure entitled Betrayer.
Blackpowder’s team of developers, best known for their work on the original F.E.A.R., aim to bring players back to the 1600’s in Betrayer. Set in a struggling English Colony in Virigina, Betrayer has players combating against horrible ghosts that are draining the land of life and color.
With an arsenal of time-appropriate weapons, including muskets and throwing axes, players must roam the unknown wilderness searching for survivors as you uncover the mystery surrounding the ghosts.
Betrayer is set to release on Steam this August and more information can be found on Blackpowders’s site.
