Bloodstained’s Koji Igarashi Dishes on Game Development

Acclaimed Castlevania: Symphony of the Night director Koji Igarashi garnered worldwide attention when he launched a Kickstarter for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Igarashi, or Iga as he is often referred to as, shattered crowdfunding records at the time of Bloodstained’s Kickstarter campaign, as thousands of backers flocked to support to the Symphony of the Night spiritual successor.

Since funding has been completed, Iga has been notably active as Bloodstained progresses through development. His transparency with fans and backers can be seen in the latest video uploaded to Bloodstained’s YouTube channel: Ask IGA #6.

In the video, Igarashi responds to a couple of questions, giving personal answers to his design philosophy, goals and favorite parts of Bloodstained.

There are some pretty interesting answers found in the video, making it worth watching for anyone interested in Bloodstained or game design in general.
