Old Man Favre is back practicing with the Vikings. Whoopty-doo right? I’m in the camp that recognizes his greatness, but at this point I could give a rat’s ass if he plays or not. I’m so over the Brett Favre saga! Why can’t he just admit that he doesn’t want to practice, or do any of the other pre-season BS anymore? He obviously still wants to play, but he doesn’t want to put in the time. He should just come out and say that, versus playing the retirement game. This dude has retired around 5 or 6 times now, so he’s become the boy who cried wolf.
He’ll be making a press conference today after practice, so I’m sure we will get our daily dose of Bret jammed down our throats. If you’re not a Vikings fans you might as well skip all programming on ESPN as well as all sports talk shows today. It’s going to be Favre Day 2010. I must admit, I am kind of interested to see if this guy can pull off what he did last year. I may not like his approach to retirement, but I’m all about a feel good story in the 2010-2011 NFL season. That’s exactly what Favre can make happen if he finally rides out the way he wants to – on top. You’ve been wondering how long Favre would wait this year…
