In the latest episode of the Entertainment Buddha-cast Ana and I talk about the Survival Horror video game genre, and how certain games have scared the crap out of us over the last few years. Alien: Isolation is brought up as being one of the latest games in the genre to fully payout on its horror aspect, as well as providing a great narrative and gameplay. This leads to a discussion on Dead Space and how frightening the first two games in that franchise were.

From there the mood is lightened with a talk on Disney Infinity, and how it compares to the Skylanders franchise. Ana offers up her expert opinion on DI, while I showcase what the Skylanders franchise has to offer. We both agree that the toys for each franchise are radical, and that each franchise offers its own style of gameplay.

Finally, we morph the discussion into a talk about a few movies we’re interested in watching in 2014, which quickly devolves into a Guardians of the Galaxy love-fest.
