Yesterday the developers at Bungie released a little bit of news regarding Destiny 2 and the Age of Triumph. While the news doesn’t reveal what the next chapter entails for your Guardians, they did reveal what will happen to your character.
Your character will indeed carry over to Destiny 2, however, there’s more. Unfortunately, for all the time spent grinding for specific armor, weapons, and spending money at Eververse -these are the things that will not carry over. As someone who has spent countless hours playing and perfecting each one of my characters, this hurts a little. I’m really going to miss my jazz hands emote in Destiny 2. It also has to hurt for everyone else that spent money at Eververse for certain emotes that won’t be accessible in Destiny 2.
As mentioned in the full post on Bungie.net, change is a good thing and a chance to start fresh. There was mention about the Age of Triumph. It seems that Bungie will release one final update to celebrate the end of an era as they put it. It has only been three years since Destiny was first released. While the game was not perfect, it shined in certain areas. Not to mention the community is big and that is never a bad thing.
Starting March 8th, Bungie will reveal what the Age of Triumph will entail and then each following week more Age of Triumph stuff will be revealed.
