Bungie is slowly but surely ramping up the Destiny promotional tour, so this week at GDC they unveiled some brand new concept art to those who were in attendance.  In addition to the new art shots Bungie also released a new character development trailer that shows off some of their design processes used to craft the game’s inhabitants.

Destiny’s end game still remains a mystery, but so far I’ve been intrigued with what I’ve seen.  I have no doubt that Bungie’s pedigree will shine in this new IP, and I can only hope that it has a Halo-like impact on the gaming universe.  It’s time to break free of this yearly release cycle of existing franchise sequels (yes I’m talking to you COD and AC) and experience a brand new title created by one of the most trusted developers in the industry.  We all should be excited by that fact.  There’s only so many minor tweaks that can be made to these yearly juggernauts, so don’t you want something new in your gaming diet?

I advise you to check out the new Destiny assets included after the break to see if it gets your juices flowing like mine.  I just don’t see this game failing, but maybe my foresight is clouded by the previous successes of Bungie.  Only time will tell, but I have a feeling that Destiny will one day be counted among the greats in the console generation to come.  You’ve been wondering if Destiny will be playable at E3…
