Treyarch, the studio who makes OK Call of Duty games, will be debuting their Black Ops entry on Game Trailers TV tonight. This COD is supposed to be set in the Vietnam era, which will be the first time the franchise is based in one of the most F’d up wars of our past. Hopefully, it’ll include ear necklaces and little Vietnamese ladies with grenades. It’s hard to get behind the COD franchise since Activision took a large dump on its creator, Infinity Ward. Treyarch basically uses the tools IW has laid forth to make their games, which is cheap, but business is business, and when you sell your soul to the bad guy you lose all of your rights. That’s exactly what happened to Infinity Ward when they signed up with Activision in the first place.
You can check out the official website for Call of Duty: Black Ops here. The name gives off a feel of some sort of elite squad, so maybe the footage on GTTV will shed some light on this Black Ops deal. Call of Duty: Black Ops is set to hit store shelves on November 9, 2010. It’s time to suit up Private Pyle, get some, get some. Don’t forget to lead your targets soldier. You’ve been blown up by a small boy…
