Cameraman Sean Savage Takes Us Behind the Lens With Game of Thrones

HBO has put out a new behind-the-scenes look at Game of Thrones, and while it isn’t a secretive look at the show’s upcoming final season, it still offers some insights into how the show has been filmed over the past eight years.

In the featurette, Sean Savage, the show’s “A” camera operator since Season 1, provides insights into the work he’s done on the show since 2010. He’s worked on over 70 episodes, and has filmed more than a few iconic moments that you will surly remember. He mentions that the work he’s most proud of is his work on the Battle of the Bastards. In fact, he was the camera operator who filmed Jon being trampled and then resurrected in that battle, which provided one of the more jarring visuals of the battle.

Head on up above to check it out. Game of Thrones Season 8 debuts April 14, 2109.
