Captain Marvel Trailer Gets Sweded and Brie Larson Loves It
The Dumb Drum YouTube channel, while a bit dormant these days, has awoken, and you definitely need to check out its latest video, which is a Sweded version of the first Captain Marvel trailer. If you’re unfamiliar with the term Sweded, it comes from the Jack Black film, Be Kind Rewind, and it entails making movies, or movie trailers with extremely low budgets and a ton of creativity.
Anyway, we’ve been posting these types of trailers for years now, and the Dumb Drum team is definitely one of the best Swede-ers around, but their latest project quite possibly may be their best. They just nail the remake of the first Captain Marvel trailer in all areas. I love how they recreated the music, I love the little miniature Blockbuster set, and of course all of the other little creative tricks they used to recreate a big-budget trailer on a shoestring budget.
In fact, it’s so well done that Brie Larson herself tweeted it out, so if you weren’t buying my pitch, maybe you’ll listen to Captain Marvel herself.
This is the best thing I’ve ever seen!!https://t.co/X7JXbRd8lP

You can see how close the team came to faithfully recreating the official trailer below.
Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 8, 2019.
