For many, the fun in Super Mario 3D World was not in just the main game, but also in the side game featuring the lovable Captain Toad.

In this spin-off title to the wonderful world of Mario, Captain Toad must once again brave the perils that face him and collect as much stuff as he can on the way. On his journey, Captain Toad will be faced by Shy Guys, Goombas, Bullet Bills and much more as he attempts to progress through each of the 70 stages.

Three new Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker screenshots have been released today, showcasing the imaginative world, colorful locations and even Toadette! Check them out in the gallery below.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker looks to keep things as fresh as it can by use of the Wii U Gamepad, which also plays a huge role in the game itself, offering players a multitude of ways to approach a situation. Whether it be by turning a wheel with your hand, or entering a first person view to push back Piranha Plants, options appear to be aplenty.

Captain Toad Treasure Tracker launches on Wii U on the 5th of December.
