Captain Marvel Funko Pops Up for Pre-Order

Funko has unveiled the official wave of Captain Marvel movie Funko Pops, and they’re already up for pre-order.

The wave includes seven standard Pops with one also having a Chase variant. It also includes a Pop Ride, and six retailer exclusives Pops. If you like Dorbz and other Funko collectibles, there will be a few of those to pre-order as well.

At this time, only the standard Pops and the Ride are up for pre-order. These include Captain Marvel and her Chase variant, as well as Nick Fury, Vers, Talos, Star Commander, Goose the Cat, and Maria Rambeau. Each of these can be pre-ordered today through Entertainment Earth. They should ship in January 2019.

The exclusives are a flying Captain Marvel from Target, a GITD Captain Marvel from Walmart. There’s also Vers with mask from GameStop and flocked Goose the Cat from Box Lunch. Finally, FYE has a Carol Danvers in flight jacket, and Hot Topic will have a Captain Marvel with a flight jacket. These should all be available in January.

PlayStation Unboxes A PlayStation Classic

The PlayStation Classic is the most beautiful lame idea of the year. I mean that in the sense that the system looks great, the controllers look and sound like they feel great, but they loaded it with stuff that no one cares about. The list of games available has been subject of extreme criticism with huge omissions such as the Crash and Spyro series.

Those games made the system what it was for the most part, and even though we have the remasters now, no one would object to having the originals as well. Games like Syphon Filter are great and all, but where’s Klonoa or Tomba? I don’t think anyone was clambering for the original Rainbow Six either, though Jumping Flash was a surprising addition. In the video above, you can watch PlayStation themselves unbox it and tell you how great it is.

That’s neat I guess.

New Funko Pops from the Upcoming ‘The Predator’ Movie Up for Pre-Order

Funko has unveiled a line of Funko Pops from the upcoming The Predator movie, and the commons are now up for pre-order. There are three common Pops to collect, and two of them will have Chase variants. There will also be three retailer exclusive The Predator Pops to collect as well.

The common Pops are a Fugitive Predator with a Chase variant, an Assassin Predator, and a Predator hound with a Chase variant.

The exclusives will be a heat vision hound, Rory with Predator mask, and a black chrome version of the Predator Pop.

You can now pre-order the commons from Entertainment Earth, just head over to their The Predator store page to do so. The exclusives aren’t up yet, but they will be available from Amazon, the Funko Shop, and FYE.

I would think that the exclusives will go up for sale closer to the movie’s launch in October. The standards should ship this September.

Darksiders III Collector’s Edition Reveal & More

Darksiders III is shaping up to be a fantastic addition to the already great series. Taking control of Fury this time around, her weapon of choice is a bladed whip that I can only imagine will make heads roll.

No applause, please, I thought of that joke three seconds ago.

Below we’ve got a little press release that’s got some meaty details for those that are pumped for the game.

“Players return to an apocalyptic planet Earth in Darksiders III, a hack-n-slash action-adventure where players take on the role of FURY in her quest to hunt down and dispose of the Seven Deadly Sins. The Charred Council calls upon FURY to battle from the heights of heaven down through the depths of hell in a quest to restore the balance between good and evil and prove that she is the fiercest of the FOUR HORSEMEN. FURY is a mage, her form evolving throughout gameplay and with it, her powers and weaponry. The expansive Darksiders III game world is presented as an open-ended, living, free-form planet Earth, dilapidated by war and decay, and overrun by nature. FURY will traverse back and forth between environments, battling other-worldly creatures and unlocking puzzles while advancing the Darksiders story.”

Not only that, but we have one sexy trailer for the collector’s edition of the game. It’s got a statue, soundtrack, art book, and it comes in a steelbook. It’s pretty run of the mill, but it’s Darksiders, so you know that shit is all going to be amazing. Check it out above and let us know how pumped you are for the game and if you’ll be picking up the collector’s edition!

Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention that there’s another edition for the game… check it out below.

Bionik and MyArcade E3 2018 Lineup – Fun AND Functional

I got to check out two companies at E3 this year, and those companies are known as MyArcade and Bionik. MyArcade creates tons of nifty little tabletop arcade cabinets, of which I got to take home Bad Dudes. They’re fun little time killers and essential decor for anyone’s nerd room, it looks kickass on top of my shelf of games. They also make a bunch of other neat little accessories they make, such as an adapter that lets you play Famicom and Super Famicom games on NES and SNES consoles. They’re just little adapters that you put the cartridges in, but they’re reliable, sturdy, and made in such a way that won’t hurt your systems.

Bionik, on the other hand, is proficient in making all kinds of accessories for modern consoles. They make special carrying cases for the Nintendo Switch, they make all kinds of small stuff like nice charger cables for controllers, etc. They’ve got a slew of charging ports for the three current systems that can charge multiple controllers at once. Their newest one is for the Switch, which can charge a Pro controller as well as two JoyCons and fits nicely on a TV stand without taking up too much space. Below, you’ll find a ton of pictures, since it’s a lot easier to show than tell, and we know how much you like glamour shots.

Arcade1Up Brings New Arcade Cabinets To The Home!

Arcade1Up is easily one of the coolest companies that I got to hang out with at E3 this year, I was blown away with what they’re doing. We all know that, unfortunately, arcades as we knew them 20-25 years ago are becoming a thing of the past, save for in a few places. I live in New Hampshire and luckily am only 30 minutes away from Funspot, which is technically the largest arcade in the world. They’ve got a metric ass-ton of game cabinets in there, along with bowling, air hockey, skee-ball, and the like. There’s still a lot of classics that they DON’T have in there though, and even for arcade goers, you might feel like you’re missing a few good games there.

That’s just me, though, for a whole lot of people, there probably aren’t any real arcades outside of maybe a Dave & Buster’s anywhere near them. Arcade1Up hears the cries of you and I and they have a solution for us, and it gave me butterflies when we talked about it. They’re building arcade cabinet sets that you can buy and very easily assemble, and they look awesome when fully put together. They’ve got 4 games built into each one, too, so you don’t have to have a ton of these in your home to have a ton of games. They’ve got awesome cabinet art, too, and stand about four feet tall (you can purchase a riser for the cabinets though, that they will also sell you). Either way, honestly, I liked them, the buttons and everything felt authentic, and the screens were really pleasant to look at.

The main cabinet that I got to play was their Final Fight cabinet, which includes Final Fight, and three other class Capcom games. I’ll be adding some fact sheets about each of their available cabinets below for you to all check out! It was so exciting to see some of these games on new arcade cabinets, and seeing a bunch of them all lined up was really neat. I hope one day I have a house with a bunch of these cabinets in it, they’re so cool and look so awesome. Check them out, I put a link at the beginning of this post, with the fact sheets below, and let us know if you want one for yourself!

LucidSound’s E3 2018 Headset Lineup – Audiophile’s Bliss

LucidSound is known for their sleek, sexy headsets, and if you’ve had the chance to use one, you’ll know why. This year at E3, they had an impressive lineup of headsets that I had the privilege to demo, and they were amazing! Previously, their headsets had circular ear cups, but they’ve now switched to more oval-shaped cups. This is definitely a good call, because my only complaint about their headsets before were that they would crush the top and bottom of my ear. Even with their super squishy ear-cups, after an hour or so, they’d start to get sore. It should be noted that I have somewhat big, stupid looking ears, sometimes makes hats look really dumb, and headsets really uncomfortable. Now though, I’ve got no complaints, and they went one step further to really wow me. Now, they’ve got this amazing cooling gel inside of  the ear cups that goes on top of the foam in the headset (the part that’s against your skin). It stays cool the whole time you’re using the headset (and somehow makes them even more squishy and comfy).

Below, you can catch the official press release from the guys and gals at E3 for some more specific info. Don’t judge me, it was a lot to write, so copying and pasting was more viable.

Cad Bane and Patrol Trooper Are the Only Star Wars SDCC ’18 Exclusive Funko Pops

Funko has been slowly releasing all of its planned SDCC 2018 exclusive collectibles, and while I used to be consumed with all things Funko Pop, my passion has waned significantly, so this year’s hunt should be somewhat stress free. Although, I still plan to seek out the two announced Star Wars SDCC exclusive Pops, yes, just two, I know, Funko must be feeling the effects of Solo or something, but there are legitimately only two Star Wars exclusive to find this year at SDCC.

Anyway, the two exclusive Star Wars Funko Pops will be Cade Bane from The Clone Wars animated series, and the Imperial Patrol Trooper from Solo: A Star Wars Story. FYI, he’s the guy that chases young Han and Qi’ra on a speeder bike on Corellia, and yes he looks awesome as a Pop. You can check out the trooper below.

At this time Funko hasn’t revealed where these will be available at if you can’t make SDCC, so stay tuned for more information on those details.

Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Ahsoka Clone Wars Funko Pops Up For Pre-Order

Star Wars and Funko Pop fans it’s time to lay down some pre-orders on a new wave of The Clone Wars inspired Funko Pops, which are now available at Entertainment Earth. This new wave features four characters from The Clone Wars animated series, which quite frankly features some of the best prequel-era narratives in the franchise. It may be an animated show, but it really portrayed Anakin Skywalker perfectly as he struggled with his powers and how to best use them, as well as how his own order was responsible for driving a wedge between him and the Jedi for not trusting his great powers over his emotional tendencies.

Anyway, this isn’t about the show, but you really should watch it if you passed back in the early 2000’s. The four Clone Wars Pops will be Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, and Yoda. You can pre-order them now from Entertainment Earth, and they should ship this September.

Four New and Somewhat Spoilery Exclusive Avengers: Infinity War Funko Pops Revealed

Funko has unveiled four new exclusive Funko Pops from its Avengers: Infinity War line. These are all specific to four different retailers too, so you can’t just pick them up from one particular place.

The new Infinity War exclusive Funko Pops may even be a bit spoilerish, especially if you want to witness Infinity War as fresh as possible, so proceed with caution.

There will be a Stonekeeper Pop, who was revealed to be the Red Skull in the film. He will be available at the Funko Shop. There will also be an action pose Cap, who will be a Walmart exclusive. There will be an Iron Spider Pop, which will be a Target exclusive, and finally, there is a Hulk busting out of Hulkbuster Pop, which is already available at GameStop.

This Pop in particular may even be spoiling Avengers 4, because if you saw Infinity War, you know full well that the Hulk never came back out of Banner’s skin after he got his ass kicked by Thanos. He never breaks out of Hulkbuster, which I totally thought would happen based on trailers for the film. With that being said, I do think this moment may still happen in Avengers 4 thanks to a bit of time travel or time manipulation with the Time Stone.

You can check out the full gallery of new exclusive Infinity War Pops below.

Entertainment Earth Exclusive ‘Alien’ Video Game 8-Bit Xenomorph Funko Pop Up for Pre-Order

Today is Alien day thanks to the date being 4-26, which if you’re a fan of the Alien movie franchise will make complete sense to you. If you’re not, then yes, this is another made up geek holiday like May the Fourth, but you won’t hear us bitching about made up geek events so we are all for them.

Anyway, Entertainment Earth is offering up an exclusive Funko Pop in honor of Alien Day. The pop is based on the Alien video game from the 90’s, so it has orange and blue glow effects on it, and of course it is in 8-bit form. The exclusive is set to release in June, but you can pre-order it now so you don’t miss out on this limited offering.

I’m not a huge fan of the 8-bit Pops, but I do dig this one for the nostalgia factor, so I may be hitting that pre-order link myself. If you’re a Pop or Alien fan, what do you think about this exclusive, or the 8-bit Pops in general? Comment away after the break.
