[UPDATE] Two new trailers/videos have been released for Supergirl, which you can now view below.
CBS is hoping you will believe a girl can fly, because its DC Comics adaptation Supergirl will air at the same time as Fox’s Gotham.
CBS announced their Fall 2015 lineup, which mimics the one presented in 2014. The Big Bang Theory will begin the broadcast season airing Mondays at 8PM until CBS finishes airing football on Thursday nights, at which time The Big Bang Theory will again revert to Thursday nights. Supergirl will then take over the 8PM-9PM timeslot, which is the exact same time that Gotham will broadcast its second season on Fox.
Perhaps an artifact of an already solidified lineup for CBS, but this decision does not make for a rivalry with any of the DC adaptations airing on the CW and instead sets its sights on Fox’s product. Supergirl does share a universe with the CW shows Arrow and The Flash, but not with Gotham, which is in its own bubble.
