Charles Barkley Hates Alien Languages In Cut ‘SNL’ Star Wars Sketch

A fully shot and produced Star Wars sketch was but from the March 3, 2018 episode of Saturday Night Live, but thanks to YouTube, it has now seen the light of day. The sketch features a new Star Wars movies from J.J. Abrams called The Mos Eisley Five: A Star Wars Story. The Mos Eisley Five consists of various knock-off characters of the main Star Wars cast such as Han Solo, Rey, Chewie, R2, and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Charles Barkley, who was the host for last night’s episode of SNL, stars as the Kenobi character, and his character has issues with everyone’s alien dialogue. He doesn’t understand how everyone can use their own languages and still understand everyone else’s, which leads to a few funny moments.

The sketch isn’t what I’d call laugh-out-loud funny, but as a Star Wars fan, I did appreciate it. If anything else the production value is high, and it appears that SNL didn’t spare any costs to shoot the sketch, so I’m surprised it got cut for the money investment alone, but it more than likely didn’t make the show due to the lack of laughs it can warrant. Either way it’s worth checking out just for some good old Star Wars in pop culture references action, so head on up above and do just that.
