Check Out ‘Deadwood’ – An Action Adventure With A Survival Twist

Steamroller Studios are proud to show off their action/adventure survival game called Deadwood.

Deadwood blends a standard adventure game, filled with interesting quests and puzzles, with the crafting and resource gathering elements of a full-on survival game.

Players will play as Lathe, a teenage woodling, avid inventor, and friend of giant stone golem named Roguard who protects you on your adventures. Come night, however, Roguard falls asleep, and the land of Knottington becomes a dangerous place. The wooden dead come out to feast on sap, and Lathe will have to use every resource at his disposal to stay alive until morning.

Deadwood seems to set itself apart from the standard survival game genre, as the game features a heavy adventure game story and a huge open world filled with quirky characters. All this bundled with a unique animation and art style.

For now, Deadwood is set to be released on Windows PC, Mac, and Linux, and their Kickstarter page can be found here, for those that are interested. Steamroller Studios boasts an impressive, yet small team of people, who have worked on movies such as The Hobbit, Avatar, The Avengers, How To Train Your Dragon 2, and games such as Bioshock, and Left 4 Dead. Check out the trailer above to get a feel of what the game is all about.
