Check Out Izzy’s Revenge – A New Comic Style Platformer

Spain based studio Indie4Fun has just launched a Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming platformer: Izzy’s Revenge.

The game is a comic book styled platformer that takes place in the fictional steampunk city of Steelbridge, a corrupt and rotten city where a girl named Izzy is out for revenge for the theft of her holographic technology blueprints.

“She knows that behind the robbery are the four main guilds which rule the city: the Airships Guild, the Apothecary Emporium, the Liquors Guild and the Iron Industries. She wants to get those blueprints back. She seeks revenge.”

Players will have to move fast, improve Izzy’s special holographic weapon, explore for secret items, and unlock new abilities if they are going to defeat the tough bosses in the game.

Art design seems to be a big focus in Izzy’s Revenge as the trailer above shows a cool and murky steampunk setting. Indie4Fun do want to encourage exploration within their game as well, alongside its frantic combat gameplay. The developers believe exploration to be something greatly neglected in other intense 2D combat games.

Izzy’s Revenge will be Indie4Fun’s first PC title, and for those that are interested, or want to show support, their Kickstarter page can be found here.
