Check Out Some Concept Art for ‘The Hobbit’ by John Lowe and Alan Lee


If you’re a Tolkien fan, or a fan of Middle-Earth in general, then the names of John Lowe and Alan Lee should ring a bell in your fanboy brain.  These two artists have made careers out of sketching the look and feel of Tolkien’s Middle-Earth, and recently they’ve helped Peter Jackson design his live action LOTR trilogy, as well as the recently released The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.  Today some concept art from these two Tolkien nerds have surfaced of their work on The Hobbit movies, and just like their work on LOTR, their sketches of Middle-Earth are once again breathtaking.  You can check out a handful of these images after the break.  You’ve been wishing you got to work on these movies…
