Todd Phillips has tapped Chris Hemsworth to play Hulk Hogan in a biopic for Netflix, and while the Aussie actor is formidable in size, he’ll need some bulk to pull off the role.
Apparently, the biopic will focus more on Hulk Hogan’s rise to fame than his recent turns in the spotlight, which hav all been mostly negative, with him being involved in porn tape scandals, and of course using racist language. Anyway, Hemsworth definitely has the look to play Terry Bollea at a younger age, but I’m wondering how much he’ll bulk up for the role. Will he go Thor-style or bigger? I’m thinking the latter, because Hogan is a massive dude, like as in very tall and thick, especially back in the 70’s and 80’s, which I assume will be the timeframe that this biopic mostly lives in.
In addition to Phillips being attached, the biopic will be written by John Pollono and Scott Silver. Hulk Hogan himself, Terry Bollea, will also be a consultant, so you can pretty much guarantee it won’t delve into his more recent darker days.
