Chrono Trigger and Batman Arkham City Ports Now Available for iOS
Today is a good day just like Ice Cube’s hook in one of his past singles, because iOS users can now play gaming classics in Chrono Trigger and Batman: Arkham City on supported iOS devices. Chrono Trigger is considered by many elder gamers to be one of the best RPG’s of all-time, so I love the fact that Square Enix decided to cash in on this classic for a few more bucks by porting it to the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. I for one have never played through it entirely on my own, because when it first came out I wasn’t much of a RPG fan. I do remember watching friends playing it and respecting their opinions of it, so I’ll probably download this little gem for $10 to see what the fuss is all about.

Now as far as Batman: Arkham City goes you’d have to be living under a controller to not know of its greatness. The iOS version isn’t a clone of the console game. It’s actually called Batman: Arkham City Lockdown, and it features similar gameplay to Infinity Blade’s swipe and slash model. This beautiful looking iOS title will run you $6, and it’s designed to scale well on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. If it’s half as awesome as the console version of Arkham City the measly cover charge will be well worth the price of admission. To download BAC: Lockdown to your iDevice you can head on over to this link.

From the trailers you can watch below I think you’ll see that both of these games at least deserve to be added to your iTunes App Store wish list. I’d even recommend adding them to an app monitoring app to see if their prices drop if the $16 to buy them both is too hard on your cash strapped wallet. If I didn’t have about 1,000 open games right now I’d probably be playing both of these iOS titles today. Like I said check out some footage of these games in action below, and be amazed at the awesomeness of their lineage. You’ve been needing iOS to actually get solid apps…
