‘Close Up LA’ Documentary Focuses on Action Factory Stunt Team

It’s no secret that the Action Factory stunt team has been busy recently working on film, TV, and even those wildly viral Freddie Wong YouTube projects (Claymores, Home Alone, and One Shot with Eliza Dushku).  They’re becoming the “go to” stunt team for Wong and his ever increasingly innovative YouTube videos, and because of this they were featured in an episode of Close Up LA filmed and documented by Rachel Neubeck.  Close Up LA is a project that takes an in depth looks at the people of LA perfecting their craft be it through art, film, or in Action Factory’s case all around badas*ery.

Neubeck had the privilege of filming AF luminaries Eric Linden and Joe Ross while they worked on the Cowboys and Aliens viral video that Freddie Wong shot with John Favreau a few weeks ago.  The resulting mini-documentary is quite compelling and gives a close up view of what it’s like to be a working stuntman in LA.  You’ll see how Linden and Ross ended up in the business, plus there’s a bevy of behind the scenes footage from some of the Action Factory projects that you may have already seen and not known that AF was involved.  Overall it’s an entertaining look at what has to be one of the most kick a*s jobs in the world that is also dangerous enough to take one’s life.  Check it out below, and if you’re interested in more of Neubeck’s or Action Factory’s projects please visit their respective websites below.  You’ve never thought that rough housing as a kid could lead to working with Jon Favreau…
