Still on the fence about whether or not the Battle Royale mode in Black Ops 4 is for you? Well look no further than the upcoming free week of play that’s going to be available across all platforms!

From January 17th to the 24th, you can download and play Blackout totally free, and who knows? Maybe in due time the mode itself will just become free to really compete with the likes of Fortnite, as it really has made a name for itself. It’s strange to think that the first time the mode was in a Call of Duty game, it was done so well, I figured they would screw it up somehow.

Regardless, this is going to be great for a number of reasons! Tons of people will be flooding the servers to try out the game for the first time (hooray for easy kills, admit it, you were thinking it too). Not only that, but this might prove to Activision and Treyarch that a whole lot of people aren’t playing their battle royale simply because Fortnite is free, and Blackout ain’t. Check out the trailer above if you don’t believe me and tell us in the comments if you’re already playing or are waiting for that free week to test the waters!
