CODumentary Showcases the History of the FPS Giant

Love it or hate it, the Call of Duty franchise is one of the most, if not the most, successful first person shooter games out there. I mean, to have a game perpetually developed by three different developers just to have a yearly game, that truly is something. Have you ever wondered how this giant got to where it is now? Well, soon, you’ll be able to figure this all out. Devolver Digital will be releasing the ‘CODumentary’ on a ton on platforms including iTunes, Google Play, Playstation, MGo, Xbox, tons of others as well as a DVD/Blu-Ray release of the film with dates to be announced.

Learn how it all started back in 2003 when the series initially released against a horde of other WWII based shooters and thrived. Fast forward to 2007, the year when Modern Warfare revolutionized competitive multiplayer, FPS gameplay. This story is told by developers, gamers, gaming experts and more. It truly is something how Jonathan Beales is able to fit 15 years of history into a 93 minute documentary. Beales has spent five years creating this beautiful documentary about one of gamings most defining titles. I can’t wait for this to hit shelves and see just how Call of Duty was able to reel in fans. Watch the trailer for it above!
