Comic Releasing to Provide Backstory for Del Toro’s ‘The Last Jedi’ DJ Character

Marvel has revealed that it will be dedicating a comic book to a brand new Star Wars character this January, and fans will be able to first see this character in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. This character is none other than Benicio Del Toro’s DJ, which isn’t his actual name, but rather a secret monicker given to him to protect whatever identity Rian Johnson and Disney didn’t want us fans to sniff out.

In January Marvel will release Star Wars: The Last Jedi – DJ #1, and it will offer up some backstory on this character we don’t know much at all about outside of the fact that he’s good a cracking all sorts of galactic cryptography. The comic will follow DJ throughout a typical day of his life, which to us, probably won’t seem very typical at all. You can read the official comic book details and synopsis after the break.

If DJ is getting his own backstory comic book, then there’s a great chance that he’ll be a pretty important character, so we will find out just how key he is when Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens on December 15, 2017.

About the comic
