Cowboys & FreddieW: A Wong, Jon Favreau, and Action Factory Partnership

If you haven’t believed me that Freddie Wong is a force to be reckoned with in the film industry then maybe his latest video will help convince you otherwise.  That’s because Freddie was called up to the big leagues when none other than Jon Favreau contacted him to make one of his iconic YouTube shorts about Favreau’s upcoming Cowboys and Aliens flick.  Trust me, not every as*hole making amateur videos on YouTube gets a call from Hollywood power houses like Jon Favreau, so obviously Freddie and Team have something special going on.

Favreau and Wong star in Cowboys and FreddieW, which is a unique mix of themes from Favreau’s upcoming blockbuster, and the visual flare of a Wong production.  It also features the stunt talents of the Action Factory team who have become the go to crew for killer stunts in Freddie Wong videos.  The short itself is pretty far out, but its definitely not short on action or visual effects.  I would not want to be the stunt guy who gets blasted by one of Wong’s charged projectiles from his futuristic wrist cannon.  I’d imagine it was a similar feeling to being dragged backwards by a truck that was tied to your waist. F*ck, That, Sh*t!  But hey, that’s why this industry needs consumate professionals like the guys over at Action Factory to give creative people like Wong and Favreau the ability to bring their ideas to life.  Check out all of the cowboys, guns, lasers, and stunt guys getting broke below.  You won’t be disappointed.  You’ve been wondering when Freddie will get a triple-A film deal…
