Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories album is being lauded as the this summer’s soundtrack, and now you can listen to its melodic beats in 8-bit style. Joe Jeremiah is a YouTuber who specializes in chiptune music, which is a style that was first made popular in the early days of gaming.
There’s something very nostalgic about the sounds that 8-bit music produces, and if you spent any of your childhood playing video games it’ll instantly resonate with your past. I couldn’t help but be reminded of my past, sitting in front of a cathode ray tube TV set playing the day away on my NES.
Head on down past the break to hear what it would sound like if Daft Punk specialized in creating old school video game music.
