A TV movie telling the story of the minds behind the hit video game Grand Theft Auto has been given the green light by the BBC. The 90 minute drama (with the working title Game Changer) will feature Daniel Radcliffe and Bill Paxton as opposing figures with Radcliffe as the game’s genius and Paxton as a lawyer trying to shut the franchise down. The series has received numerous protests over the years, with parents trying to prevent the game from being released because of it’s realistic violence, though the most recent version of the game – GTA V – sold $1 billion in its first three days, making it the fastest selling entertainment product in history.
There is no timetable for the show’s air date, but check back as announcements are released.
