Yesterday Machinima debuted the first look at a new fan film called Dark Knight Legacy (embedded below), which is the spiritual successor to Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. Batman fans around the globe have shown interest in the short, giving it nearly 200,000 views in less than 24 hours.

Thankfully for those who supported the short, the team behind Dark Knight Legacy kicked off an Indiegogo campaign to bring their full vision to the public. They’re only asking for $30K, and have already raised one-third of the goal. If you’re interested in backing a Batman project that doesn’t suck head on over to the campaign page here. You can also check out an infographic for the film that details what it’s all about after the break.
