Deadpool Goes Retro Gaming In This ‘Deadpool 2’ 8-Bit Trailer Remake

Deadpool 2 just wouldn’t be a major movie event without getting an 8-bit trailer remake from stratmasterj, the master of turning pop culture movie and tv franchises into retro video game versions of themselves. His Deadpool 2 recreation is a remake of its first trailer, albeit in pixelized form. Although, I’d wager the game engine used to create this 8-Bit remake trailer is closer to the 16-bit era of gaming than the 8-bit era made famous by the NES. One must also appreciate the chiptune music track, which does its best to recreate the songs used in the trailer without getting anyone sued for copyright infringement.

Head on up above to see the Deadpool 2 trailer in its retro video game glory.

About the Video

Welcome to 8-Bit Trailers, where we take a kickass existing trailer and take it back in time to recreate it in glorious retro 8-Bit fashion. It’s as if your NES never went out of style! What better way to kick off the next installment than with some fourth-wall breaking fun with DEADPOOL 2, starring Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Zazie Beetz and Julian Dennison. The Merc with the Mouth hits theaters on Friday!
