In an announcement that will shock virtually no one, publishing behemoth Activision confirmed that Destiny and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare were the two best selling console video game titles of 2014.

According to Activision’s statement, Destiny and Advanced Warfare‘s best selling statistic is based off of retail sell-through into November.

Interestingly, Advanced Warfare took the first spot, achieving the status of the number one console video game sold in 2014 within a month of its initial release.

Of course, with the serious industry pulling power and marketing capabilities, seeing both Advanced Warfare and Destiny top the charts isn’t that strange.

Additionally, Activision also stated that Skylanders is the number one selling Kid’s franchise of the year – another announcement that comes as no surprise.

TL;DR: Activision has lots of money and sells lots of games.
