Campy, potential cult classics were intermixed throughout Nintendo’s Digital Direct E3 show, showing that the venerable company isn’t afraid to take chances in order to bring more attention to their systems.
Of all the interesting and off-beat titles shown off during Nintendo’s event, Devil’s Third easily took the cake for being the most over-the-top game.
In the game’s E3 trailer, tattooed anti-hero Ivan is shown shooting and slashing through numerous enemies all while taking the time out of his busy schedule to wail on the drums.
The gameplay shown in the trailer is something of a bizarre cross between Call of Duty and Ninja Gaiden, the latter of which makes sense considering the pedigree of developer Tomonobu Itagaki.
Devil’s Third is set to release exclusively for the Wii U in the near future.
