The launch of Diablo 3 is nigh, so you should be doing everything in your power to get ready to play the game the moment your region’s servers get unlocked. Blizzard has done a fine job in creating a Diablo III launch day preparation guide to get gamers ready to roll once the clock strikes midnight, so I recommend checking it out. Although, for gamers not living in the western part of the U.S. they’ll have to wait a bit longer than midnight on the 15th. Blizzard will not unlock the North American servers until 12:01 a.m. PDT! For you slower folk that means 3:01 a.m. if you live on the east coast, 2:01 a.m. if you live in the central timezone, and 1:01 a.m. if you live in the mountain region.
Personally, I think this is a crock of sh*t, but it is what it is. Basically if you live outside of the pacific timezone you better plan on sleeping in until your time unlocks. Major bummer, so much for a true midnight launch! This is one reason why I prefer console gaming. At least it’s unbiased when it comes to your place of habitation. If you don’t live in the west you should at least install your copy of Diablo 3, which as of 11 a.m. EST should be a possibility. You’ve been wishing you moved to L.A. …
