Disney Princesses Get The Watercolor Treatment

Disney is a mega corporation that has churned out animated movies since the dawn of time. Hundreds of animators spent countless hours bringing some of your favorite princesses to life in the late 80’s and 90’s such as Pocahontas, The Little Mermaid, and Mulan.

Alice Zhang is an artist that took her love of movies and started making some art work inspired by her favorite films. She created some digital art of three leading ladies from Disney. Each image gives more depth to the character than they are given in their own films. Ariel looks sultry and grown up in her image. Mulan is determined to reach the top and prove the boys wrong, and Pocahontas looks somber. Check out the images below of Zhang’s amazing work. If you like what you see then head over to her deviantART page for more movie themed art.

Devoted a piece of her skin to a Destiny tattoo and has a long term plan of cosplayjng as a Bioshock Splicer or Warlock at some point. Her prized possession is an autograph from Robert Englund welcoming her to prime time. Favorite games include those mentioned above, Aladdin for SNES, losing her life to Animal Crossing and the good Resident Evil games. Saga comics are an unequivocal recommendation.
